 John Michael Osbourne (nacido en Birmingham, Inglaterra, Reino Unido; el 3 de diciembre de 1948) es un cantante y compositor británico con una carrera de más de 40 años de actividad. En sus inicios, fue parte de la formación original de la prestigiosa banda de heavy metal "Black Sabbath" a la que se le atribuye ser creadora de dicho género, a principios de los años 70, para después iniciar una carrera como solista a principios de los años 80, logrando grandes éxitos y revolucionando nuevamente el género. Es conocido como "The Madman" (El loco), "The Godfather of Heavy Metal" (El padrino del heavy metal) y "The Prince of Darkness" (El príncipe de la oscuridad). Ha sido certificado por la RIAA multiplatino por las ventas de varios de sus álbumes en solitario. Con el cambio de siglo, además, ha adquirido una gran repercusión mediática, sobre todo, por su aparición en el reality show emitido por la MTV The Osbournes, basada en el día a día de su controvertida familia.
